Hello my name is Matthew Halper. I have owned and operated American Chimney since 1997. I first want to thank you for visiting our site. I trust we will provide you with enough information to solve your Chimney and Fireplace needs.
Let me take a moment and answer the question I get asked so often, “How did you ever get into this business?” 20 years ago I was faced with a dilemma after serving honorably in the United States Marine Corps; find a job or put to use the core values instilled in me by my beloved Corps and start a company of my own. After much deliberation, I decided that I would start a part time chimney cleaning service. That was over 20 years and more than 55,000 service calls ago. I never anticipated that we would reach this level in business.
With the help and leadership of my General Manager, Nicole Lore we now operate three service trucks. Nicole has been in this business for 2 years and is our operations manager in charge of the crews. We primarily service Bucks and Montgomery Counties, in Pennsylvania. We are often asked to service Philadelphia and Allegheny areas for our apartment managers and insurance clients and are happy to do so.
We offer fireplace cleaning, sales and installation of woodstoves, and interior fireplace repairs on fireboxes and dampers. Currently we have full time mason crews available to do brick repairs. We can do very small repairs or the total rebuilding of a chimney after a chimney fire or a lightning strike.
We strive to provide outstanding craftsmanship, top notch service and create lasting relationships with our community. Your satisfaction is tremendously important to me. At American Chimney, we know that your home is your sanctuary, and I demand that our service technicians always respect our customers and their homes.
Our customers’ referrals about our service are what have driven our business for two generations and almost three decades. I assure you that all of our office staff and service technicians undergo constant training on OSHA safety requirements, customer service, and the necessary technical training that our fire safety and energy industry demands.
